What is a birth chart?
A birth chart (natal chart) is a map of the sky at the exact moment and location you were born. It records where the Sun, Moon, and all planets were positioned relative to the twelve zodiac signs and twelve astrological houses. What are the Big Three?
The Big Three are the three most important placements in your birth chart: your Sun sign (core identity), Moon sign (emotional nature), and Rising sign or Ascendant (how you appear to others). Together, they give a far more accurate personality picture than your Sun sign alone. Learn more →
Do I need my birth time for astrology?
For a complete chart, yes. Your birth time determines your Rising sign (Ascendant), house placements, and an accurate Moon sign. Without it, you can still calculate your Sun sign and approximate planetary positions, but you lose the most personal layers of the chart. Check your birth certificate if you are unsure of your exact time.
What's the difference between Sun sign and Rising sign?
Your Sun sign represents your core identity, who you are becoming over the course of your life. Your Rising sign (Ascendant) represents your social persona: the version of you that walks into a room first and the impression you make on others. The Sun is internal truth; the Rising is external presentation.
How accurate are online birth charts?
Modern birth chart calculators use the Swiss Ephemeris, the same high-precision astronomical data used by professional astronomers. Planetary positions are accurate to fractions of a degree. The math is exact; interpretation is where subjectivity enters. Learn more →
What is the difference between tropical and sidereal zodiac?
The tropical zodiac (used by most Western astrologers) is based on the seasons: 0 degrees Aries begins at the vernal equinox. The sidereal zodiac (used in Vedic astrology) is based on the actual positions of the constellations, which have shifted about 24 degrees due to precession. This is why your Vedic sign may differ from your Western sign by one sign.

What is a Life Path number?
Your Life Path number is the most important number in Pythagorean numerology. It is calculated by reducing your full birth date to a single digit (or master number: 11, 22, 33). It reveals your core direction, natural strengths, and the central energy of your life journey. Learn more →
How do I calculate my Life Path number?
Add together all the digits of your birth date (month + day + year) and reduce to a single digit. For example: March 15, 1992 = 3+1+5+1+9+9+2 = 30, then 3+0 = 3. Your Life Path is 3. The standard method reduces month, day, and year separately first, then adds those results. If you get 11, 22, or 33 before the final reduction, it stays as a master number. Learn more →
What are master numbers?
Master numbers are 11, 22, and 33. These double-digit Life Path numbers are not reduced further in numerology because they carry intensified energy. Life Path 11 is the Intuitive Visionary, 22 is the Master Builder, and 33 is the Master Teacher. They are rare and bring both greater potential and greater challenge.
What is an Expression number?
Your Expression number (sometimes called Destiny number) is calculated from your full birth name by converting each letter to a number (A=1, B=2, etc.) and reducing. It describes your natural talents, abilities, and the skills you have to work with in this lifetime. It complements your Life Path by showing what you are equipped to do. Learn more →

What is BaZi?
BaZi (Eight Characters), also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a Chinese personality and destiny system that has been refined for over 1,000 years. It maps your birth time to four pillars (year, month, day, hour), each containing a Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch from the Chinese calendar’s 60-year Sexagenary Cycle. Learn more →
Is BaZi the same as Chinese zodiac?
No. The Chinese zodiac (12 animals) is a simplified popular version that only uses the year pillar. BaZi is the full system. It includes all four pillars and analyzes the interactions between 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches. The difference is like knowing only your Sun sign versus having a full natal chart in Western astrology.
What is a Day Master?
Your Day Master is the Heavenly Stem of your day pillar in BaZi. It represents your essential self, similar to what the Sun sign represents in Western astrology. There are 10 Day Masters: Yang Wood, Yin Wood, Yang Fire, Yin Fire, Yang Earth, Yin Earth, Yang Metal, Yin Metal, Yang Water, and Yin Water. Each has a distinct personality archetype. Learn more →

What are tarot birth cards?
Tarot birth cards are a pair of Major Arcana cards permanently linked to your birth date through numerological reduction. Unlike tarot readings where cards are shuffled and drawn, birth cards are calculated and fixed. They represent your core archetypal themes and never change. Learn more →
Are tarot birth cards the same as a tarot reading?
No. A tarot reading is fluid and situational: cards are shuffled and drawn to address a specific question, and results change every time. Tarot birth cards are calculated from your birth date, are permanently assigned, and describe your fixed archetypal identity rather than a momentary situation.
How do I find my tarot birth cards?
Add together all the digits of your full birth date. If the result is greater than 21, add the digits again. The resulting number corresponds to a Major Arcana card (your primary birth card). What is personality convergence?
Personality convergence is what happens when multiple independent personality systems (astrology, numerology, BaZi, and tarot) independently agree about who you are.
