How the calculation works

We count consonants only. For JOHN SMITH, the consonants are J (1), H (8), N (5), S (1), M (4), T (2), H (8). The total is 29, which reduces to 11. Because 11 is a master number, we stop there.

Your result links to its free interpretation. You can also compare it with your Soul Urge and Expression numbers.

Master Personality Numbers: 11, 22 and 33

11, 22, and 33 keep their master number and share traits with 2, 4, and 6. Numerologists read each one as a louder version of its root number.

11: People often read you as perceptive and a little intense when they first meet you. Compare the cooperation themes in Personality 2.

22: Practical organization is paired with a sense of larger purpose. The reliability of Personality 4 is the foundation; notice whether others place ambitious expectations on you before knowing your priorities.

33: Warmth, teaching and service are emphasized. Alongside the care associated with Personality 6, consider how clearly you communicate the limits of what you can take on.

Astrology, BaZi, numerology, and tarot each read your birth date. See which of your traits show up at least twice across the four.

Your free snapshot runs all four and shows your top themes, with how many times each one appears in your chart. The optional Full Report costs $10 once.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my Personality Number calculated?

We assign each consonant in your full birth name its Pythagorean value (A=1 through I=9, then repeat), add those values, and reduce the sum. We keep 11, 22 and 33 as master numbers. No birth date is needed.

Does Y count as a consonant?

Y uses the same spelling rule as our Soul Urge calculator: it acts as a vowel if its word has no A, E, I, O or U, or if neither neighboring letter is a vowel. Otherwise it counts as a consonant. For example, Y is excluded here in Kyle and Lynn, but included in Maya.

Which name should I enter?

Use your full name as given at birth, including middle names if you have them. The calculation uses A-Z letters and ignores spaces and punctuation. If your name uses another writing system, use its Latin-letter spelling consistently across the calculators.

How does this differ from Expression and Soul Urge?

Expression uses every letter and represents talents. Soul Urge uses vowels and represents inner motivation. Personality uses consonants and represents outward style. These are numerological interpretations for reflection, not a measured personality assessment.
