What we collect

To generate your convergence reading, we collect the birth data you provide: name, date of birth, time of birth (optional), and birth location. We also collect your email address when you create a snapshot, ask us to email you a snapshot link, or buy a report.

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address.

How we use it

We use your birth data to calculate your profile in four systems. Your BaZi, numerology, and tarot results are calculated on our own servers. Your astrology chart comes from AstrologerAPI, a deterministic calculation service reached through RapidAPI, so the same birth details always return the same chart. We look up birthplaces with the GeoNames API.

No more information than necessary leaves our servers. AstrologerAPI receives your birth date, birth time, and birthplace coordinates. GeoNames receives the place name you type. Neither service receives your name or email address. Your account details, snapshots, and reports are stored on our own servers.

For paid reports, your name, birth data, and calculated results are sent to Anthropic's language model API to write the report. Anthropic states that it does not use data sent through its commercial API to train its models.

Your email, if provided, is used to deliver your report, send any transactional messages related to your purchase, and (if you opted in through a free tool) share information about Sagelon's services.

What we don't do

• •We don't sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• •We don't use your data for marketing unless you opt in.
• •Your personal data is never used to train language models.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site (which pages are visited, which tools are popular). This data is aggregated and does not include your birth data or personal information. You can opt out of analytics tracking through the cookie banner or by using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.

Data retention

Your snapshot data is stored so you can return to your reading. If you want your data deleted, email support@sagelon.com and we'll remove all associated records within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies only with your consent. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner.
